United Radio recognized as Honda 2023 Service Parts Supplier award winner

United Radio was one of 21 suppliers to be honored by Honda for outstanding performance in service parts that serve the needs of customers after they have purchased Honda and Acura products. Honda works with nearly 1,400 service parts suppliers in North America to provide service and accessory parts for more than 20 million Honda and Acura automobiles in operation in the United States, as well as service parts for powersports and power equipment products. For United Radio to be honored with this award as a Honda Service Parts Supplier, the company was rated on performance in quality, cost, and delivery. Service Parts awards are based on overall scores reflecting combined performance in all three categories. During a recent visit to United Radio, Mark Nicolusi, Reman Support Account Manager at Honda’s Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America division, met with UR’s Mitsubishi department, led by Steve Oliver. He personally thanked members of the division for their excellent effort in achieving the award. He noted, “The team’s dedication and continuous improvements to the process was a large contributor to the success.” This included that fact that all shipments during 2023 were delivered on time to Honda as expected throughout the year.  Honda manages a national network of parts and distribution facilities that support customers by delivering high-quality service parts to Honda and Acura dealers nationwide, as well as supporting global parts operations. New semiconductors entering the market promise to make greater advances in efficiency, especially in the automotive and power industries. United Radio can service almost any type of electronic equipment, so the opportunities are endless. Why have I stayed at United Radio for 50 years? My previous job was as part owner of a small electronics service business in Oneida, NY. We ran a very ethical company, and prided ourselves in how well we treated our customers. I knew about United Radio at that time and had heard they had a great reputation. Also, I had purchased parts from them in 50s and 60s when they were in the old State St. location, and I was always treated very well at the counter. When I was offered a job at UR, it was a tough decision, but I felt in the long run it would be the right choice. After a very short time at UR, I really enjoyed the family atmosphere and how well everyone worked together. Equally important, their business philosophy meshed very well with my own. In short, just “Do the right thing”. Today that is summarized in our “Core Values”, and I often refer to it as the “United Radio Way”. I’m very proud of how we conduct business at UR, and have never regretted choosing to come here.Back

Phil and I are the beneficiaries of his teachings and leadership. My mother is the strongest, most giving, selfless person I know. Never a complaint, even when she is hurting, always there to offer support and assistance to others.I know more about this than most anyone:Me. I am the only topic I know more about than anyone else. We will reach this milestone in 2023, and I look forward to celebrating it with our United Radio family! What are some causes you care about and why? There are so many causes that I care about, and too many to list. For the past few years I have been actively involved with the American Heart Association. This is important to me because heart disease if the number one killer of women and so many people are unaware of that. Heart disease is also 80% preventable, controlled through lifestyle changes surrounding eating and exercise. I am also a supporter of the Lustgarten Foundation which is the largest private funder of pancreatic cancer research. While many diseases impact different segments of our society disproportionately, unfortunately pancreatic cancer impacts Ashkenazi Jews at a disproportionately high rate and I have lost too many friends and family to this awful disease.Back
